Replenishment Recommendations in Afosto
Within Afosto, you have the option to generate a list of stock that needs to be replenished. We call this replenishment recommendations. To generate such a list, go to the articles grid in the Afosto app.
There you will find a replenishment recommendations button at the top right, you can also access this page via this link: https://afosto.app/products/replenishments
In essence, this comes down to generating a list with quantities of the difference between the current stock and the maximum stock. This is generated for all articles that are below the reorder point.
You do this by clicking on Generate List on the replenishment recommendations page
This list is generated based on all articles that are below the reorder point for a specific warehouse and company. At the moment you click generate list, a list is created where all articles that are below the reorder point for that specific warehouse and company are "replenished" to the maximum stock.
So to be able to generate this list, you have to set these values. This can be done per article by clicking on an article and adjusting the warehouse settings there.
The following dialog will then open where you can set these values:
For each article number, you have to set the following values for each warehouse in order:
- Reorder point
The stock level at which you want to reorder. - Maximum stock
The quantity that is replenished at the time of creating a replenishment list.
When the stock of a product falls below the reorder point, you can create a list that indicates the necessary replenishments from the current level to the maximum stock.
As soon as you have generated a replenishment list, all items on the list are marked as "draft" which means you can still review the list. If the quantities are correct, you can set the list to "open".
When you set the list to open, this list is also included in the calculation of the next replenishment list. In other words, you then expect these items to be received and they are added to the current stock when generating a new replenishment list so that you do not order the articles twice.
The status of the items on the list can be changed to 'processed'. This means that these items are no longer deducted from the stock differences when compiling a new list. When the entire list is considered processed, all items are set to this status.
Practically speaking, this looks as follows:
If there are no open lists
--
Reorder point: 2
Maximum stock: 10
Current stock: 1
As soon as you create a replenishment list:
Quantity on list: 9
--
If the above list is open:
Current stock: 1
Reorder point: 2
Maximum stock: 10
Quantity on list: 0 (because the 9 items have not yet been processed)
As soon as the list is set to 'processed', the new recommendation will be 9 again (provided the stock is indeed replenished to 10).
The various statuses of the list help in efficiently managing inventory levels and avoid unnecessary reorders.
