Created Product Bundle

What is a bundle?

A bundle is a product comprising multiple items or components grouped and sold as a single unit.

Where to find bundles:

In the Afosto platform, navigate to Products > Articles.

Adding Bundles

1. Without its inventory

This type of bundle does not have its stock tracked in the system. Instead, the bundle's availability is determined by its components' inventory levels. For example:

  • If one of the components in the bundle is out of stock, the bundle will also be unavailable.
  • Use this option when the bundle simply groups existing products, and the inventory is managed at the component level.

Example:

A "Gift Set" bundle includes a shampoo and conditioner. The system checks the inventory of the shampoo and conditioner separately. If either product is out of stock, the bundle cannot be sold.

2. With its inventory

This type of bundle has a dedicated inventory count separate from its components. The stock level for the bundle is managed independently, regardless of the stock levels of the individual components. Use this option when the bundle is pre-assembled and stored as a single unit in your warehouse.

Example:

A "Starter Kit" bundle is pre-packaged as a single unit in your inventory. Even if the individual components (e.g., brush, toothpaste) are out of stock as separate items, the bundle can still be sold as long as its own stock is available.

Manually Adding Bundles

>In the Afosto platform, navigate to Products > Items.

>Click the Add button.

> Select the product type Bundle with components.

>Add all product details as you would for a regular product, such as product information, images, barcodes, prices, and specifications.

>Then, choose the type of inventory that applies to this bundle: Without its own inventory or With its own inventory.

>Finally, add the components of the bundle.

Adding Multiple Bundles in Bulk

>For the bulk action, use an existing dataset, paste the data directly into a spreadsheet, or upload a CSV file.In the first column of the dataset, enter the article number of the bundle. In the second column, indicate whether you want to track inventory for the bundle. Use False for a bundle without its own inventory and True for a bundle with its own inventory. In the third column, enter the SKUs of the components, specifying how many times the component is included in the bundle (e.g., 123456789:1).
