ERP for retail and e-commerce, without spreadsheets
Afosto connects your webshop, physical stores and marketplaces in one system. Real-time stock, automated orders, a single dashboard, so your team focuses on selling instead of keeping things up to date by hand.

What is an ERP system for retail and e-commerce?
An ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) connects the core processes of your business in one central environment: orders, stock, purchasing, point-of-sale management and finance. Instead of separate tools that never talk to each other, everything runs from the same dataset.
For retailers and webshops that means, concretely: when a customer orders on bol.com, your stock drops straight away in your warehouse and in your physical store too. Your point-of-sale staff see the same product information as your webshop visitor. Your purchase order is created automatically the moment an item falls below its threshold.
Why is that relevant to you?
- One stock position for every channel, so no more overselling
- Orders from your webshop, point of sale and marketplaces in a single overview
- Less manual work during peaks such as Black Friday or seasonal pressure
- Real-time insight into margin, sales and capacity, without exporting to Excel
Afosto is built for Dutch and Belgian retailers with one to fifty locations that sell across several channels and are ready to operate professionally at that scale.
What Afosto does for your day-to-day operation
Real-time stock management across every channel
One stock position for your webshop, stores and marketplaces. The moment a product sells on bol.com, Shopify or at the point of sale, Afosto updates your stock straight away, with no overselling and no manual corrections.
Automated order processing
Orders from every channel come into a single queue. Pick instructions, packing slips and track and trace are generated automatically. During Black Friday you handle the peaks without any extra manual work.
Integrated point-of-sale system (POS)
Afosto's point-of-sale software runs on the same database as your webshop and warehouse. Returns, gift cards and customer profiles work seamlessly across your physical and online channels.
Marketplace and platform connections
Direct connections with bol.com, Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento. Products, stock and orders sync automatically, and you can migrate or run alongside your current setup, whichever you prefer.
Warehouse Management (WMS)
Guide your warehouse staff with scannable pick instructions. Afosto's WMS registers without errors and connects directly to your order flow, so you do not need separate WMS software.
Insight without exports
Sales per channel, margins per SKU, stock rotation per location: all live in Afosto. Connect with Exact Online for your bookkeeping and you have a single source of truth for your whole business.
How does Afosto ERP work in practice?
Afosto is not a modular stack you have to puzzle together yourself. The platform works as one connected system: you configure what you need and connect what you already use.
Step 1: Connect your channels Connect your existing webshop (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or Afosto's own headless storefront), your marketplaces and your point-of-sale systems. All product data, prices and stock come together centrally in Afosto. Do you run your administration on Exact? Through the Exact Online integration you sync orders in both directions, along with invoices and stock.
Step 2: Set up your order flow Define how orders are routed: which warehouse, which carrier, which packing-slip template. Afosto then runs that automatically, including exceptions such as backorders or partial deliveries.
Step 3: Activate your warehouse Give your warehouse team access to the Afosto WMS scan app. Picking, receiving and processing returns now happen with a scanner, with no paper lists and no Excel corrections afterwards.
Step 4: Monitor and adjust In the dashboard you see how you perform per channel, per location and per period. Set up automatic purchasing advice so you never reorder too late again.
What Afosto is not: a generic ERP for HR, payroll or manufacturing. Afosto is built for retail and e-commerce, deep rather than broad.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ERP for retail and e-commerce
Concrete answers to the questions you probably have before you look any further.
What is the difference between an ERP and an ordinary webshop plugin?
An ERP system connects all your business processes in one database: orders, stock, purchasing, point-of-sale management and finance. A plugin adds a single feature to an existing platform but shares no data with your other systems. The result of plugins: you have to sync stock by hand, keep orders in several dashboards and export to Excel for reporting. An ERP like Afosto does all of that automatically, one source of truth for every channel.
What business size is Afosto suited to?
Afosto is built for retailers and webshops with one to fifty locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You need at least an operational order flow (orders coming in daily through a webshop or store) and preferably several sales channels. Afosto is not designed for starting dropshippers or large enterprise retailers with more than fifty locations.
Does Afosto connect with bol.com, Shopify or my current bookkeeping software?
Yes. Afosto has direct connections with bol.com, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Exact Online. Orders, stock and product data sync automatically. Through the open API you can build extra connections or have them built. You do not have to disconnect everything from your current stack: Afosto can run alongside existing systems while you migrate.
How long does it take to get Afosto up and running?
That depends on the complexity of your assortment and the number of channels. Retailers with an existing webshop and one or two marketplaces are usually operational within a few weeks. Afosto has a self-guided onboarding flow and documentation for every step, so you do not have to wait for a consultant to get started. For more complex migrations (several locations, large SKU counts) you book a demo to agree on a realistic timeline.
How does Afosto differ from SAP, Oracle or other large ERP systems?
SAP and Oracle are built for enterprise organisations with complex HR, manufacturing and financial processes. They require implementation projects of months to years and large IT teams. Afosto is narrow and deep: designed purely for retail and e-commerce, with connections that work for Dutch and Belgian marketplaces and platforms. The price, the setup time and the complexity are correspondingly lower, without giving up the core functionality a multi-channel retailer needs.
What does an ERP system like Afosto cost?
Afosto works with a subscription model that scales with your usage. There is no large implementation bill up front. The exact price depends on the number of users, locations and active connections. Create a free account to explore the options, or book a demo for a tailored price indication.
Does Afosto have a point-of-sale system (POS) too?
Yes. Afosto's point-of-sale software is built into the same platform as the webshop and the warehouse. That means stock changes at the point of sale are visible straight away in your webshop and WMS, and the other way around. You work with one customer profile, one product catalogue and one stock position, no matter where the sale happens.
Can I use Afosto alongside my current Shopify webshop?
Yes. Many customers connect Afosto as an operational backend to their existing Shopify storefront. Orders from Shopify come into Afosto for processing, and stock is synced back. That way you benefit from Afosto's WMS, POS and order automation without leaving your Shopify front end. Migrating to Afosto's own headless storefront is optional.
